"Unseen" Audio Drama Triumphs at the 2025 Digital Culture Awards

We are thrilled to announce that "Unseen," an audio drama by Extant, has been honored with the 2025 Digital Culture Award for Digital Inclusion. This prestigious accolade celebrates projects that break barriers and foster inclusivity through digital innovation.
"Unseen" is a groundbreaking audio drama that was devised entirely by a team of blind and visually impaired creators. Made in response to a 2022 study of the impact of domestic violence specifically on blind and visually impaired people by Fight for Sight, Extant partnered with some of the UK's leading domestic violence charities to shine a light on the experience of intimate violence as experienced by those with visual impairments.
Extent's award reflects the outstanding work they have in partnering with QLab. By ensuring the audio drama was compatible with screen readers, Extent has created an important work that is accessible to the very people whose stories are reflected in "Unseen."
At the heart of this project is Maisie Greenwood, a talented voice artist from ClaratyVoices, who lent her voice to the roles of the Report and Hayley. Originally from Gloucestershire, Maisie is an actor and voice artist based in North London. She trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and has worked across television and theatre.
