ClaratyVoices Attends the Sugarpod Productions Gaming Voiceover Workshop

ClaratyVoices clients refine their craft and form connections throughout the year, including participating in an event that has become a voice talent favorite: Sugarpod Productions Gaming Voiceover Workshop!

ClarartyVoices actors Sebastian Brown, Clare Reeves, Matt Canny, Carl Dolamore, Maisie Greenwood, and Becky Jade attended an April Sugarpod workshop, and had a smashing time learning and chatting about the state of the industry. Now Kerry Corran and Tony Mahama from Sugarpod Voiceovers have just announced more dates for their spring voice over training workshops. ClaratyVoices senior voice agent Lexi Myers will be in attendance this May.

What is Sugarpod Productions?

Tony Mahama, a sound producer, and Kerry Corran, a London-based writer, director, and producer is also a freelance voice director and dubbing/animation director, have over 15 years experience working with and training actors in the voice industry. Sugarpod produces both general and gaming voice reels and offers workshops in their studio in North London.

Sebastian Brown - Claraty Voices
Sebastian was born in the UK, but raised between the UK and North America, giving him a naturally global, transatlantic sound. His voice is rich, warm, authoritative and engaging but versatile enough to incorporate many styles and tones. After completing his BA in acting at Guildford School of Acting, Sebastian spent several years working in Sebastian was born in the UK, but raised between the UK and North America, giving him a naturally global, transatlantic sound. After completing his BA in acting at Guildford School of Acting, Sebastian spent several years working in theatre, before he attended Kingston University to complete his master’s in Media and Filmmaking, after which he worked in Media Production. During this time he began recording spec commercials for agencies and eventually grew his voiceover skills to build a successful full-time voiceover business. Sebastian has voiced everything from global commercials, to local radio ads, audiobooks, corporate communications and video games. He works from his home studio, which features a professional Session Booth recording studio and broadcast-quality recording equipment.
Clare Reeves - Claraty Voices
With 15 years professional voiceover experience, Clare Reeves is highly skilled at connecting with audiences.. whether that’s as part of a commercial campaign or character driven storytelling. Clare is a trained Meisner actor and enjoys bringing the truthfulness of this training into her VO performances. Clare’s sound is warm with a cool and confident edge. Matthew Canny is originally from Derbyshire and spent time at The Television Workshop under the direction of Ian Smith. Matthew went on to train at LAMDA, graduating from their 3 year course in 2014. Credits include: Downton Abbey BBC, Tina & Bobby ITV, Coronation Street ITV, Emmerdale ITV, Belgravia Universal, Against The Law BBC, and Matthew Canny is originally from Derbyshire and spent time at The Television Workshop under the direction of Ian Smith. Carl Dolamore - Claraty Voices
Carl is a professionally trained voice actor from London with a Master’s degree in Voice from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He brings warmth, versatility, and expert control to every performance with his rich, friendly tone which is perfect for commercials, narration, and character-driven work. Carl has a native Standard Southern English Carl is a professionally trained voice actor from London with a Master’s degree in Voice from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Maisie Greenwood - Claraty Voices
Maisie is an actor and voice artist based in North London and originally from Gloucestershire. She trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Notable credits across Television and Theatre include Eastenders and “Woman” - Lead Role in “Winter” at The Young Vic. An “absolute firecracker” on stage, Becky exudes infectious confidence, blending impish charm with a bold, stand-up edge. Trained at Performers College with a diploma in Dance Theatre, Becky possesses exceptional dance and combat skills. Their versatility spans Becky Jade is a dynamic, gender-fluid actor, comedian, and writer with an electrifying presence and razor-sharp comedic timing. An “absolute firecracker” on stage, Becky exudes infectious confidence, blending impish charm with a bold, stand-up edge. Born in Aberdeen and raised on the edge of Milton Keynes, Becky proudly calls themselves a ‘mutt.’ Their credits include performances at Wembley Troubadour Theatre, BBC’s Roadkill, and Channel 4 Comedy for Tesco Whoosh. They’ve collaborated with major brands such as Warner Bros, Deloitte, the NHS, Thameslink, Tesco, and Hitachi. Most recently, Becky co-wrote their debut film and is currently working on several commissioned projects. A passionate gamer—especially when it comes to RPGs—Becky brings a natural curiosity and adaptability to every role. With extensive voiceover experience dating back to childhood, they excel at taking direction and delivering engaging performances. Their distinctive voice blends urban, rural, and neutral tones, creating a sound that is truly one of a kind. Whether on screen, stage, or behind the mic, Becky’s vibrant energy and comedic instinct make them an unforgettable talent.
